War of 1812

Braddish Brown 1792-1876
 4th Regiment of Vermont Militia from Washington County, Vermont. Was at the battle of Plattsburgh, 11th Sept 1814. Honorably discharged at Plattsburgh, NY in Dec 1814.
Died in Rockdale Twp., Crawford County, PA. and is buried at Chapinville Cemetery.
Samuel Chapin 1790-1869
 Madison County, NY - Sergeant in Capt. Marvel Underwood's 129th Regiment of the New York Militia.  Honorably discharged at Sackets Harbor on the 18th of Nov 1814.
Died in Rockdale Twp., Crawford County, PA. and is buried at Chapinville Cemetery.
John McKay 1779 – 1829
John McKay entered service in Robert McKay’s Company of the 133rd Regiment of the Pennsylvania Militia by order of Major Gen. David Mead. He served as a sergeant. He died at Waterford, Erie County, PA in 1829 and is buried at the Waterford Cemetery.
John Range Jr.  1772 - 1851
John Range Jr. entered service from Tionesta, Forest Co. Pennsylvania. He served as a sergeant in the 132nd Regiment of Dales Militia. Commanded by Lt. Col. Samuel Dale under the order of Maj. Gen. Mead. Later moved to LeBoeuf Twp. Erie County, PA where he died and is buried at LeBoeuf Cemetery near the town of Mill Village.

Justus Lyons  1777 – 1873
Justus Lyons served in the War of 1812 as a private. He received an allowance of $56 for equipment on a claim. Residence, Clymer, Chautauqua County, NY. He died in Clymer, Chautauqua Co., NY in 1873 and is buried at the East Clymer Cemetery.

John George Howard 1783- 1875
Lieutenant of militia in the War 1812 in defense of Sackett’s Harbor. Died in Columbus Twp. Warren County, PA and is buried at David Curtis Cemetery
