John Lytle Dies At His Son's Home
Former Resident of Decatur in Urbana Last Three Years
John Lytle, formerly an old Decatur resident, but for the past three years a resident of Urbana with his son, Professor Ernest V. Lytle, died there Saturday morning. The body was brought to Decatur Saturday afternoon and taken to the home of his son George. The funeral will be held there sometime Monday, the time to be announced later. John Lytle was born in Waterford, Pa., in 1831, seventy nine years ago, and came to Decatur in 1870. He embarked in the grocery business here and retired a number of years ago. He is survived by three sons, Professor E. V. Lytle of the University of Illinois. Aten L. Lytle of Los Angeles and George Lytle of Decatur. Three brothers are Henry of Waterford, Pa., Charles of Sterling, Ill, and Captain R. P. Lytle of Decatur.
