| Obituary: Death Claims Addis Johnson Addis E. Johnson, former well known resident of Columbus and Spring Creek, passed away this morning at 7:40 o'clock at the home of his daughter Mrs. Glenn Graffreau S. Center street, following a short illness. Born in Columbus, Pa., September 6th, 1854. Mr. Johnson later moved to Spring Creek, coming to Corry in 1905, where he operated a wagon shop on First Avenue for several years. For the past ten years Mr. Johnson had lived on a farm near Spring Creek. Besides his daughter here Mr. Johnson is survived by his wife, one son, Clark L. Johnson, and another daughter, Mrs. E. H. Martin of Erie. Funeral services in memory of Mr. Johnson will be conducted from the home of Mr. and Mrs. Graffreau, 437 South Center street, on Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock, with interment in Pine Grove cemetery. Rev. E. A. Hook, pastor of the Baptist church will officiate. Source: Corry Historical Society |
