| Obituary: Walter S. Brown, 3356 West Lake Rd., died suddenly Monday morning. He was taken to Hamot Hospital by the West Lake Company, and died at Hamot. Mr. Brown was born in Union City, Nov 8, 1892, and moved to Erie in 1910. He had been a resident of Millcreek since 1914. A member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, Mr. Brown was employed as an inspector for Reed Standard Company for fifteen years and for the last five years was with the Millcreek Township School District. Survivors include his wife Nellie L. Brown, two daughters, Mrs. Richard (Betty) Tompkins, Lake City and Mrs. Robert (Shirley) Watts, also of Lake City, a son W.Richard Brown of Erie; one sister, Mrs. Elva Field, Union City and six grandchildren. Friends are invited to call Tuesday and Wednesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 10 p:m at the Thomas Wells Funeral Home, 3816 West Lake Rd. and attend services Thursday at 2 p:m. Rev. William Leubin, Immanuel Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. |
