Many researchers have traced this
line back to William Bassett who was born about 1590 in England. I have not yet researched this myself so have started my Bassett line with John and continue with his line down. |

Will: Written 8 January 1779/Proved 9 Mar 1799 He leaves to his son John – 1 Yoke of Oxen, 2 Cows, ¼ of his Farm Utensils. His son Oliver, equally, plus a pew in the new meeting, being the pew John bid off. His son David, received his father’s land and buildings, except a room and supply of firewood for his wife as long as she lived, and the land previously deeded to John and Oliver, plus ½ of his farm utensils. Five Warren Grandchildren, Oliver, Benjamin, Rixanna, Isaac and Eunice- grandchildren of his deceased daughter Eunice. They each received a legacy to be be paid when the males reached 21 and the females 18 |
