Obituary: Death of Mrs. Warren Atkins Jennie Charity Atkins, nee Barton, died March 16, 1926, at her home on Clay street, from a stroke, following a period of failing health for several years. She was born at Findley Lake, NY, Nov. 11, 1865 and had lived in this vicinity all her life. She was highly respected by a wide circle of neighbors and friends, and had long been a consistent member of the Baptist church. Her pastor, Rev. J.A. Erbe, conducts the funeral service at the residence this afternoon at two o’clock, to be followed by interment in Oak Hill cemetery. Mrs. Atkins is survived by her sorrowing husband and one daughter, Mrs. E.E. Harriott of Fredonia, NY, also one grandson, three brothers – Hiram Barton of Clymer, and Horace and Henry of North East, and one sister, Mrs. Jason Skellie of North East. |
