Obituary:
Horace Barton, 87, who had resided recently at the European Hotel died
at Corry Hospital Sunday morning at 8:30 o’clock. He had been a
patient there since Feb. 19th when he was stricken at the
hotel. Mr. Barton was born in the town of French Creek, Oct. 1,
1857 and lived in the vicinity most of his life. He operated
basket and shingle factories at various times in New York state as well
as Pennsylvania. He had resided in Corry for the past few years.
The deceased is survived by two nephews, John Barton, R.D.#1 Union City
and Byron Barton of Grand Rapids, Mich. A niece, Mrs. Nettie
Braley of Findley Lake, a brother in law, Irwin Austin of this city and
several cousins. Friends may call at the Bracken Funeral Home and
attend services there Wed. at 1:15 o’clock in the afternoon.
