Arthur Baccus, who has been a patient at the Corry hospital for the past several days as a result of injuries received while working on the Erie Railroad between Columbus and Lottsville, was removed to his home in Columbus township today. He was hit on the head with a heavy crowbar, which was used in work, the tool slipping from its position.

Obituary: Arthur B. Baccus, 75
Arthur B. Baccus, 843 East South Street, died last night at the Hamot Medical Center in Erie after an extended illness. He was born in Columbus on Sept . 9, 1908, and spent his entire lifetime in the Corry and Columbus areas. Mr. Baccus worked at the Corry Jamestown Corp. in the shipping department, retiring in 1973.  Surviving is his wife, Margaret Anderson Baccus, whom he married in Mayville, N.Y. in 1931; a daughter Mrs. Evelyn Miller, and two sons, Earl and Elton Baccus, all of Corry; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild. Mr. Baccus was preceded in death by a brother Elwood Baccus. No calling hours will be observed. Friends may attend a funeral service at the James St. George Funeral Home on Thursday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Patrick A. L. Maier, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery.
