He
was dismissed from the church in Roxbury Dec. 21, 1673, to that in
Rowley, but returned a few years later. About 1688 he was granted land in Woodstock; it is not certain that he ever lived there. |

His will (Suffolk Co. Probate Records, XVIII, 87-89) was dated Roxbury, April 25, 1711; probated April 25, 1713. Executors, Samuel and Ebenezer Lyon, his sons. He mentions his "present wife Sarah," speaking of the agreement made with her before marriage, "that if she survived me she should have the improvement of the housing and land I then possessed for her subsistence during the term of her continuing my widow"; refers to forty pounds already given to his oldest son Samuel Lyon, and twenty pounds given to each of his sons Ebenezer and Abiel, and makes bequests to his "other children, Henry Lyon, Sarah Curtise and Margaret and Johanna Lyon."
