and an oilfield pumper for 39 years.  Father of Kenneth and Freda Wattles.
Foster children, Albert Williams, Sharon Williams, and Sherry Greenwood. Brother of Mildred Wolfe, Irma Knowles, Mary Smith, Betty Irland, and Merle Hosick.

Corydon Lee "Yank" Wattles, 89, of Louisville, died at 6:22 p.m., Wednesday, June 16, 2004 at St. John's Hospital in Springfield. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday June 22, 2004 at Neal Funeral Home in Louisville. Visitation will be held from 6-8 p.m., Monday, June 21, 2004 at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the St. Louis Christian College of Florissant, MO. Mr. Wattles was born on June 3, 1915 in Clay County, the son of Ralph and Velma (Grove) Wattles. On February 12, 1940, he married Roxie M. Anderson in St. Louis, MO. He was a member of the Sailor Springs Christian Church, a lifelong farmer, and an oilfield pumper for 39 years. Mr. Wattles is survived by wife, Roxie; son, Kenneth and wife Gloria; daughter, Freda Stanfield and husband Jack; grandchildren, Brian and John Wattles, all of Louisville; Tina Pipelow and husband Brian of Xenia; great grandchildren, Ian Kamden, and Makina Wattles, Scott and Daniel Pieplow; sisters, Mildred Wolfe of Louisville, Irma Knowles of Sailor Springs, Mary Smith of Champaign, Betty Irland of Dover, DE, and Merle Hosick of River Grove;
foster parents to Albert "Al" Williams, Sharon Williams, and Sherry Greenwood.
