Obituary: Fred W. Rankin, 94, Jamestown Street, Wattsburg, died Wednesday at Twinbrook Nursing Home. He was born in Phillipsville, Oct 19, 1885, a son of the late Will and Myra Pettit Rankin. He lived in the Wattsburg area his entire life and owned and operated a farm. He is survived by a son, Harold W. Rankin of Erie. He was the widower of Calla Hurst Rankin, who died in 1973. Friends may call at the C. S. Warthman Funeral Home, 69 N. Main St. Union City, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. and attend a service there Sunday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Deborah Dockstader of Wattsburg Presbyterian Church officiating. Burial will be at Lowville Cemetery. |
