Marriage Announcement: P. J. Morton Wins Jenevive Smith A pretty wedding occurred at Little Cooley on Wednesday at high noon when Miss Jenevive Smith, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. George B. Smith of Little Cooley was united in marriage to Mr. Phillip J. Morton, son of Mr. and Mrs. I. J. Morton , of Yankee Hill. The ring service was used by Rev. Forrest Amy who officiated. About thirty six guests were present for the wedding and for dinner which which immediately followed the ceremony. Among them were Mr. I. J. Morton and family, Mr. and Mrs. Spencer Morton, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Hart, Mr. and Mrs. Alvin Baird, Mrs. James King, Mrs. A. Haun from Meadville and Mr. and Mrs. Hart from Drakes Hill. The home of the bride had been decorated with seasonable offerings for the occasion. As the wedding party assembled the wedding march was played by Mr. J. G. King. The bride is a popular young lady of Little Cooley and is known throughout the countryside for her gracious manner and delightful personality. The groom is a well known young man of this section and is honored for his industry and integrity. The happy young couple declined to announce their plans and left immediately after the wedding festivities. |
