Announcement: Mrs. Wm. J. Dyckes announces the marriage of her sister, Miss. Lillian Lawson to Henry R. Johnson, both of McKeesport, Pa., by Rev. S. J. Heath, pastor of the United Presbyterian church, at 11:45 a.m. on September 25th at Mercer, Pa. Miss Lawson was a former Corry girl, and a graduate of Corry High School, class of 1912. Farewell
Surprise A farewell surprise party was given in honor of Miss. Lillian Lawson last evening at the home of Miss. Ruth Haight on Marion street. About twenty-four guests were present, among whom were Mr. Murl Kurtz and George Grace, of Erie. Refreshments were served and all spent an enjoyable time. Miss. Obituary: Lillian Lawson Johnson Dierker of Youngstown, Arizona, died there last Thursday. She was born October 9, 1894 in the Turner Hill area. She graduated from Corry High School in 1912 and graduated from a business school in Elmira N.Y. in 1918. She married Henry R. (Harry) Johnson on September 25, 1922 and they owned and operated a grocery store in Findley Lake for 20 years. He preceded her in death June 20, 1953. She served as the Findley Lake postmistress from 1943 until 1950. After her husband's death she moved to Bradenton, Fla., where she married Dr. Otto F. Dierker, M.D. on May 9, 1959 and they later moved to Youngstown, Ariz., where he died April 16, 1964. She as a member of the Fountain of Life Lutheran Church in Sun City, Ariz. She is survived by several nieces and nephews, including Willard L. Dyckes of Corry and four step-children, including Mrs. Alice Mallow of Phoenix. Ariz. In addition to her husbands she was preceded in death by 13 brothers and sisters. Friends my call at the Bracken Funeral Home on Wednesday from 3 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held at the funeral home Thursday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Patrick A. L.
