Marjorie Faulkner Paulson, 95 member of the First United Methodist Church
Marjorie G. Faulkner Paulson, 95, a resident of Corry Manor Nursing Home, died Wednesday, May 1, 1996, at Corry, Memorial Hospital. She was born March 6, 1901, in Wattsburg, daughter of the late Lee and Leafy Maynard Faulkner. Mrs. Paulson graduated from the Wattsburg School in 1919; moved to Corry following her first marriage in 1921; worked at Areo Supply Co. in Corry from 1936 to 1944; was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Corry, where she was a Sunday school teacher for many years and was also on the executive board and a member of the Dorcas Class in the church; and enjoyed listening to the Corry Beavers Football games on Friday and nights and professional football games on television. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas "Bert" Hurst in 1936, whom she married June 1, 1931; her second husband, Andrew Paulson, in 1961, whom she married in August 1944; and a brother Dr. Robert Faulkner. Survivors include two daughters, Marion "June" Jackman of Corry and Jacci Wank of Newark, Del., a son James Richard Hust of Warren, Ohio; five grandchildren, Thomas W. Jackman of Warren, Pa., James A. Hurst of Lancaster, Ohio, Gina Blankenship of Elkton, Md., Dianne Hurst of Mission, Texas, and Andrew R. Wank of Wilmington, Del,. 6 great-grandchildren; and a niece. No visitation will be observed. A memorial service will be held at the Bracken Funeral Home in Corry Saturday at 11 a. m., with the Rev. Russell D. Hines, pastor of the First United Methodist Church of Corry officiating. Burial will be at Wattsburg Cemetery.
