Obituary: Jessie Baccus died at his home on Sears Hill at 6 am Sun
morning after a lingering illness at the age of 71 yrs & 3 days. The
deceased was born at Cattaragus NY July 12, 1852. In 1872 he married
Elma Alfreda Whitford of Bear Lake. To this union was born 3 sons;
Bert and Clayton of Columbus twp and Clyde at home; also 9
grandchildren. He had lived over 41 years on the farm where he died
and was one of the oldest residents of that community. He will be
greatly missed by a large circle of friends. Funeral services were
held Tue at 2 p.m. from the late home, conducted by Rev. McIntrye
pastor of United Brethren Church of Corry Interment was made in Bear
