Obituary:
Florence Viola Whipple born in Midland, Michigan Aug 27, 1893 departed this life January 7, 1986 at Clermont Nursing Home near Milford, Ohio. She was a member of the Pilgrim Holiness Church now known as the Mulberry Wesleyan Church and attended faithfully until illness prevented her from doing so. She served the church in various capacities serving as church treasurer and a member of the local church board for many years. Miss Whipple taught in the Miami Township Elementary School system for thirty-four years. Her teaching career came to an abrupt end in 1961 when she suffered a stroke, which affected her speech and left her with some motor impairment of her right arm and leg. The Clermont Nursing Home had been her home for nearly one year due to her gradually deteriorating physical condition. The Craver Hookum Funeral Home was in charge of services with burial in
Graceland Memorial Gardens near Milford.
