Former Judge's Wife, 84, Dies in Hospital in Kane
Smethport- Mrs. Mable Lila Hubbard, 84, 9 Rosehill Ave., wife of former McKean County Judge Charles G. Hubbard, died Saturday morning at the Kane Community Hospital following a lengthy illness. Mrs. Hubbard was born May 24, 1882 the daughter of Herbert A. and Mary Chapin Sill, near Spartansburg, Pa.  She graduated from Bradford High School in 1901 and later from Bucknell University in 1907 with top honors. She returned to this area and became a teacher at Kane High School for a number of years. She was married to Mr. Hubbard June 22, 1911, at Bradford. She was a member of the First Methodist Church of Smethport. She also had been the first president of the Women's Society of Christian Services of the church. Mrs. Hubbard also was past president of the Smethport Travelers Club and of the Daughters of the American Revolution.  Surviving are her husband; three daughters, Mrs. Alfred Quackenbush, Southport, N.C., Dr. Helen Peterson, wife of David Peterson, of Reading; Mrs. Jack Brothers of Succasunna, N.J.; ten grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Harry H. Hughes, Des Moines, Ia. Friends will be received today at the home, 9 Rosehill Ave., and from 2 to 5 p m and 7 to 9 p m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p m Tuesday at the First Methodist Church with the Rev. H. W. Beveridge, pastor, officiating.
 Burial in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Kane.
