Obituary: Alice Estella Range Mrs. Alice E. Range, 80, of 2507 Euclid Ave., died in a local hospital Wednesday morning following an extended illness. Mrs. Range was born in Moran, Kansas, Dec. 6, 1882 and had lived in Everett and vicinity for 21 years. She was the widow of Ernest L. Range, who passed away in August 1957. Mrs. Range was a graduate of the University of Washington. She taught school in Bothell and Alaska for a number of years. For seven years she was the County-City bacteriologist in Yakima and for two years was employed by the Department of Health in Seattle. When she was in Alaska she was the weather observer at Nome, Alaska. Surviving are a brother, J. A. Montgomery of Clinton, and a number of nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be Saturday afternoon at 3 o’clock at the funeral home of Purdy and Walters. The Rev. Mark A. Duntley of First Presbyterian Church will officiate. Burial will be in Cypress Lawn Cemetery. |
