Claude N. Lawson, 71, Died This Morning
Claude N. Lawson, son of the late G. N. and Addie Lawson, died this morning at 8 o'clock at the home of Mrs. Lulu Spencer, 639 East South street, where he had been a patient since November last year, having been removed there after becoming ill at the home of his sister, Mrs. William Dyckes. The deceased was born at Sample Flats, March 13, 1873, and lived his early life there. For twenty years he operated various concessions at Celeron Amusement Park and later conducted a boat livery at Conneaut Lake, wintering in Hot Springs, Ark. Retiring five years ago he came to make his home in Corry and was taken ill in September 1942. Surviving are three sisters, Mrs. Dyckes of Corry; Mrs. H. B. Johnson, Findley Lake; Mrs. John Donnell, Erie; six brothers, Merle, Corry; Newton of Buffalo; Thad of Warren; Grant of Elmira, N.Y., Milo and Charles of Celeron. Also surviving is his stepmother Mrs. Lizzie Lawson, of R.D. Bear Lake. The body has been removed to the Bracken-Keating funeral home where friends may call after Sunday noon and attend services
at 2 o'clock Monday afternoon.

Services Held Monday For Claude N. Lawson
Funeral services in memory of Claude N. Lawson were held Monday afternoon from the Bracken-Keating Funeral Home. Rev. G. L. Boyd of the First Presbyterian Church officiating. The following relatives assisted as bearers: William Dyckes, Willard Dyckes, Merle Lawson, Thad Lawson, Milo Lawson and Newton Lawson. Burial was made in the family lot in Pine Grove Cemetery. Here from away the funeral services were Mr. and Mrs. Thad Lawson and daughter Patricia of Warren; Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lawson and Mr. and Mrs. Milo Lawson, Bob Profiter and son Bob, Celeron, N.Y.; Grant Lawson and Mrs. William Schaff, Elmira, N.Y.; Newton Lawson of Buffalo; Mr. and Mrs. John Donnell, Miss. Janice Palmer, Ms. V. W. Bently, Erie; Mrs. Ida Lawson, Pittsburgh; Mr. and Mrs. M. Jordan, Albion, Pa.; Mrs. N. B. Johnson, Findley Lake, N.Y.; Mrs. Lizzie Lawson, R.D.#1, Bear Lake.
