| Obituary: Mrs. Ruth L. Wilkins, sixty five, of RD 3, Cambridge Springs, died Tuesday in Union City Memorial Hospital after an illness of five weeks. She was born in Rockdale Township, Crawford County, on Oct 10, 1901, the daughter of Edward and Winnie Brown Laughery, and was married to Kenneth Wilkins 40 years ago. She was graduated from Edinboro State Teachers College and for many years taught school in both Erie and Crawford Counties. She was a member of the Brown Hill EUB Church and the church's Womens Society of World Services and Sunday school. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Homer (Mary Ann) Brown, Erie; two sons Richard and Eugene Wilkins both of Union City; two sisters, Mrs. Charles Lafferty, Erie; and Mrs. Grant Philles, Fairview; and five brothers, Wayne and Ray of Union City, Gerald and George of Erie and Glenn of Cleveland. She was preceded in death by a brother Charlie and a grandchild. Friends may call at the Kenneth M. Downs Funeral Home, Cambridge Springs today and Thursday from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to services Friday at 2 p. m with the Rev. Claude Huntsberger of Brown Hill Church officiating. Burial will be in Millers Station Cemetery Erie Times - Wed. May 31. 1967 |
