Obituary: Hollway Frederick H. Hollway, 74, born in Black Hawk County, Iowa, died yesterday at his home, 449 Cherry Ave. He came to Long Beach 35 years ago from Llytton, Iowa. He was a member of the First Brethren Church. He owned a candy company bearing his name. Survivors are the widow Laura Holloway; a daughter, Anna Laura Russell, Torrance; a son Earl Green, Dominquez; sisters, Mrs Besse More, Los Angeles; Mrs. Mabel Maxwell, Selma; Mrs. Emma Bell, Washington D.C., and Mrs. Emma Hessner, Long Beach, and four grandchildren. The funeral service is planned for 1 pm Thursday at the chapel of Patterson & Snively Mortuary. Dr. Charles W. Mayes, pastor of the First Brethren Church, will officiate, assisted by Rev. Burton Hatch, associate pastor. Interment will be at Westminster Memorial Park Long Beach Press Telegram Tuesday 5 - 3 - 1949 |
