Obituary: Mrs. Lena E. Edwards, 80, of 6 Popular, North East, died at her residence Thursday following an extended illness. Born on Sept. 30, 1888 in Lincolnville, Pa., she was a daughter of Henry Fosberg and Elva Range Fosberg. She was a member of the Daughters of American Revolution, the Women's Relief Board, the United Methodist Church and the Women's Society of Christian Service of the church. Her husband Vernon K. Edwards preceded her in death in January 1963. Survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Thelma Shreve; two sisters, Mrs. Hazel Obert and Mrs. Norma Linn; and one granddaughter Margaret Ann McDonald, all of Lincolnville. Friends may call at the Turner Funeral Home, 92 S. Lake, North East, today from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. Services will be held there Sunday at 2 p/m. Interment will be in Riceville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Abiding Memorial Fund of the United Methodist Church. |
