| John Whitford, oldest son of Chrisopher Whitford, married Lucinda
Huntley and raised ten children, six sons and four daughters. Nathan,
Archibald, Lucy, Pheobe, Joseph, Marilda, Nancy, Calvin, Hiram, and Riley.
He removed with his family from Sherburne, Chenango Co. NY to Freehold,
Warren Co. PA about the year 1834, making the journey with teams. Here he
took up two hundred acres of land and made a home for himself and family.
