| Obituary: Clyde V. Whitford, 84, 5034 Birwood Drive, Harborcreek, died Sunday at Hamot Medical Center. He was born in Harborcreek, June 16, 1898, a son of the late Lafayette and Fileni Palmer Whitford. Mr. Whitford had been a millwright for Lake Shore Lumber and Frontier Lumber companies for many years prior to his retirement. He attended the First Church of the Nazarene. He was the widower of Lucy Chase Whitford. Survivors include four sons, Donald M. Whitford and Thomas B. Whitford, both of Erie, Glen L. Whitford of Lake City and Charles C. Whitford of Harborcreek; a daughter, Janet Hohman of Erie; a sister Mabel Dougan of Girard. Friends may call at the Dusckas Funeral Home East, 2607 Buffalo Road, tonight from 7 to 9 and Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. A service will be held there Wednesday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Mayne Minnich, pastor of the First Church of the Nazarene, officiating. Burial will be at the Erie County Memorial Gardens Cemetery. | |
