George A. Lytle, 79, Lifetime Resident, Dies
George Andrew Lytle, 79, for many years farm manager for the Ullrich estate and for the past five years employed in the assessor's office here, died 3 a.m. today in Decatur and Macon County hospital where he had been since Tuesday. Mr. Lytle, who lived at 678 West Harrison street, spent several years with the National Bank of Decatur, quitting his job there in 1907 to manage the Ullrich estate. Born here June 25, 1871 to John and Sidney Smith Lytle. Mr. Lytle spent his entire life in Decatur, on June 19, 1899 marrying the former Elizabeth Ebert who died in Oct 1929. Mr. Lytle leaves one son, John Ebert Lytle, Jersey City, N.J., daughter Mrs. Racher Rice, Decatur and grandchild Mrs. Betty Behrns. Body is at Dawson & Wikoff funeral home where friends may call after 4 p.m. Sunday. Funeral will be there at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday with burial at Greenwood cemetery.
