Obituary: Mrs. Myrna Chapin Rice, 95, of 1603 Buffalo Rd., died
Thursday. She was born in Crawford Co. Pa., on May 9, 1878, the
daughter of the late Herbert and Mary King Chapin and was the widow
of the late Dannie O. Rice. She lived in Erie most of her life and
was the oldest living member of the Messiah Lutheran Church. She is
survived by two sons, Dean o. Rice of Lawrence Park and Herbert C.
Rice of Erie, five daughters, Miss. Mary Rice and Miss. Genevieve
Rice both of Harborcreek, Mrs. George (Ethel) Baldwin of Harborcreek,
Mrs. Leo (Gladys) Schaack of Erie and Mrs. Donald (Myrna) Holtz of
Philadelphia, a brother Charles Chapin of Mill Village, 11
grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren 51 great great grandchildren.
Friends may call at the C. J. Dusckas Funeral Home, 2606 Buffalo
Rd., Friday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 2 to 5 and
7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to attend services there on Monday at 2
p.m. conducted by Rev. Ralph Storm of the Messiah Lutheran Church.
