A. Baccus, 74 Claude A. Baccus of R.D. 1 Columbus died early this morning in his home following an extended illness. He was born August 5, 1906 in Wrightsville and moved to his present Columbus home in 1910, near Baccus Corners. He was self-employed as a farmer and had retired from the farming business. He married Ruth Hardy on April 21, 1934 in Kittaning. In addition to his wife, he is survived by twin children, Mrs. Albert (Betty) Yoder and Melvin A. Baccus, both of Columbus; a granddaughter, Ann Baccus, at home; six other grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Allene Webb and Mrs. Albert (Edith) Fox, both of Columbus. He was preceded in death by two sons, who died in infancy. Friends may call at the James. St. George Funeral Home tomorrow and Sunday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday. Burial will be in West Lawn Cemetery, Columbus.
