| Obituary: Ivan E. Weed, 72, of 3120 Hastings Rd., died Friday at Battersby Convalescent Home. Born at Arbuckle’s Corners, Erie County, he as a native of this area his entire life. He was the son of the late Ernest and Marietta Weed. Mr. Weed owned and operated Weed's Meat Market, 1160 W. 8th. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, the South Erie Turners Club and the Zukor Club. He is survived by his wife, Iris E. Weed; there sons; Kenneth G. Weed of Erie, Robert D. Weed of Elkhart, Ind. and Charles L. Weed, also of Elkhart; and 14 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a sister, Ines L. Weed on February 24, 1973. Friends may call at the Edgar M. Nelson Funeral Home, 21st and Myrtle. Saturday from 7 to 9 and Sunday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. and are invited to services Monday at 2 p.m. with Rev. Robert E. Danielson, pastor of St. Paul's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in Laurel Hill Cemetery. | ||
