| Obituary: Emma Jane Persons Remains of the late Emma Jane Persons were taken to Union City Tuesday afternoon on the 1 o'clock train and services were held in the First Methodist Episcopal Church at 2:30 p.m. with the Rev. H. N. Harvey officiating. Interment was made in the Evergreen cemetery. Mrs. Emma Jane Persons passed away January 2, at the age of 72 years and six months. She was born in Bloomfield, Pa., July 17, 1852 and united in marriage October 14, 1869 to Thomas O. Persons who died 10 years ago. Born to this union were seven children who are left to mourn her sudden death. Frank O. Persons of Tucomcari, New Mexico; Mrs. James G. Humes, Bloomfield, Pa.; Jessie C. of this city; Mrs. Earl J. Greenman of North East; Ward W. of Tillitson, Pa.; Ford A. of this city. She also leaves 12 grandchildren, two sisters and two brothers all of whom reside in the west also survive; Mrs. Pearl R. Bradberry, Rathdrum, Idaho; Mrs. Nan R Kelly of Sacramento, Cal.; and George A. and Lytle A Range of Dayton, Wash. A host of friends will mourn the loss of this dear one. She was a kind, loving and devoted wife and mother always carrying sunshine and a word of cheer wherever she went. |
