Francis Perry Jr. was born in VT. Migrated to the Ripley area of Chautauqua Co. NY ( 1820 Census) and then to the town of Springfield in Erie Co. PA by 1830 where son Abram and daughter Polly were located. Sons Truman and Guiles Perry had settled in Waterford Twp. Erie Co. PA near Lake Pleasant, Francis and Abigail moved there and purchased land in the years 1839 and 1849. From a letter written by a granddaughter, she remembered that they lived in a log house on the hill in Waterford Twp.
She states that grandfather died when she was eleven years old, she thinks it was the fall of 1846.
