Baptized – 14th June 1745 in the North Parish Congregational Church at Haverhill, MA
Military:
He enlisted as a private in Captain John Smith’s Company, reported to Col. Cutts
on 20 Aug 1778. This was the 10th Co. 3rd Regiment of MA Militia. No record of
actual service has been found. However he does appear in the volume
"Soldiers, Sailors and Patriots of the Revolutionary War Maine" by Carlton/Fisher.
15 Sept 1795 he purchased 100 acres of land on the Onion River (now the Winnoski) in Duxbury. He was elected grand juryman there in 1898 and was elected surveyor of highways in 1800.
